Welcome to the City of Palatka

Throughout the 1800s and 1900s, Palatka has best been known as a hub for commerce due in large to the St. John’s River. It’s been used to deliver cattle, freight, lumber, and citrus, making it a spot ripe with history and tourism.

While the population of Palatka has swelled and dwindled in size throughout the years, the one thing that hasn’t changed is that it’s the gateway to the St. John’s River.

Nowadays, the Palatka Riverfront plays a huge part in events and festivals. The Riverfront hosts more than 20+ fishing tournaments a year including Bass Pro tournaments.
