Mayhem Datil Pepper Farms brings to you the biggest Datil Pepper event ever! This festival is centered entirely around the datil pepper – a Florida heritage pepper. This year, we will come together on October 24th, 2024 on the Palatka Riverfront to celebrate this pepper and all the culinary delights that it can produce—everything from sauces to dishes and so much more.
Whether you love spicy food, are a plant lover, or want an excuse to get out for the weekend, the Datil Pepper Fest is sure to have a little something for everyone.
It’s the largest gathering of datil peppers in one place. You can expect plenty of culinary competition to show off the best Datil Pepper cuisine Florida has to offer. You can also expect a workshop on cultivating and caring for these plants for the next generation of growers.
And if you find you can’t take the heat, there will be live music and food trucks that are sure to delight and entertain.
This is a family-friendly event, and there will be inflatables as well as face-painting for the kids.
